Selfie with a Clergy: All students - wear your Cathedral uniform to Mass (or to your house of worship) this weekend (1/25-26), take a selfie with the priest/deacon/seminarian/clergy, and send to us in one of three ways to earn an Out Of Uniform pass!

  • Option 1: post your selfie to your Instagram story tagging @schoolofthecathedral
  • Option 2: DM to us @schoolofthecathedral on Instagram or Facebook
  • Option 3: Email to Beth Mayr at

Any photos sent in may be used on our social media, unless you note when sending the photo. Out of uniform passes will be distributed in early February, and may be used any day for the rest of this school year.

Student Appreciation Day

Monday 1/27

Students -- today is your day! Bring in $1 in order to dress down for the day. Funds raised will go to our sister school, Mother Seton Academy, to support an activity for their Catholic Schools' Week! SCMOQ students will also not have homework on this day. CASPA is graciously providing Chick-fil-a lunch on this day for all students, free of charge! THANK YOU, CASPA!

Open House

Tuesday 1/28

Discover Cathedral! Prospective families are invited to an Open House on 1/28 from 8:30am to 11:30am to learn what a Cathedral education can do for your child. RSVP or learn more here.

Current parents are invited to visit their child's classroom! Current parents may RSVP here. There will also be a special Middle School Roundtable for current Middle School parents at 10:30am with Mr. Wright (RSVP on Current Parent Open House form).

Career Day

Wednesday 1/29

Students will hear from various career professionals about their experiences, education, work, and more. If parents are interested in volunteering (must be VIRTUS-approved), email

Celebrating Our Faith

Thursday 1/30

We'll start with our School Liturgy. Students in K-4 will have a neat activity after Mass to learn more about our Cathedral church, our Catholic faith, and the connection between the two. Students in grades 5-8 will have a Vocations lunch - girls will join sisters and nuns in the Parish Center with their lunches, and boys will eat their lunches in the rectory with priests, deacons, and seminarians.

If students in grades 5-8 normally buy lunch, they may still retrieve their lunch from the cafeteria before heading to the Vocations lunch.

Teacher Appreciation Day

Friday 1/31

We love our teachers! We will celebrate our teachers in the afternoon with a special event. Mr. Wright and Mrs. Czarnecki could use some help from parent volunteers (must be VIRTUS-approved) - if you're interested, email

The Archdiocese will create Facebook frames, to add to your profile photo. We'll post instructions here when available!

Again this year, the Archdiocese will be hosting a "Why we love our Catholic school" contest. Submit why you love your Catholic school, and those chosen for #TestimonialTuesday posts will win a $5 Dunkin' gift card!
