Deb Piff Scholarship Award Recipient 2020

Deborah L. Piff, beloved wife of Frank “Bud” Piff, and devoted mother of Elizabeth Rockstroh and Frank “Chip” Piff, Jr., was a dedicated teacher at The School of the Cathedral for 26 years.  After Deb’s passing in 2014, contributions made in her memory led to the establishment of the Deb Piff Scholarship Fund.

This year, The School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen presents the Deb Piff Scholarship to Caroline Grimm, in recognition of her commitment to the sciences and personification of the values of The School of the Cathedral.

Bud and his daughter Beth were able to virtually meet Caroline and her parents, Meghan and Trey Grimm, to congratulate Caroline and celebrate her accomplishments.  Bud shared about his wife’s time as a teacher at Cathedral and how much she loved her students, and Beth recalled that “Cathedral was her happy place."

Thank you to Caroline for her hard work, passion for the sciences, and example of the values the school represents.  It is with honor and pride that The School of the Cathedral presents Caroline with this award.

Thank you to all of the family and friends of Deb Piff who helped to make this scholarship possible.
