Notes from the Principal's Desk: feedback from surveys

It is hard to believe that there are only 11 days of school left before we end the school year! Today, students finished up exams. Any make-up exams will take place tomorrow afternoon.

Field Day is tomorrow from approximately 8:15am to 11:30am. The weather looks like it will be great, and we remind everyone to bring water with them to school to remain hydrated. Student Council elections are scheduled to take place in the afternoon.

This week I had the opportunity to have my performance review with theSuperintendent of Schools Dr. Hargen, Msgr. Woy, and our School Board Chair Mrs. Cain. I feel it was a very fruitful meeting in which I was able to receive the gift of feedbackfrom the parents, faculty/staff, and School Board regarding the surveys sent out by theDepartment of Catholic Schools in January. I look forward to sharing more about thefeedback with the faculty next week during our faculty meeting, but I thought it might be beneficial to share with the community the parent feedback from the surveys.

Below you will find pie charts reflecting the parent feedback. I am glad to receive this information because it provides me the opportunity to reflect and improve my practice as a principal and school leader. Next year, my goals for improvement will include improving communication, building the school's sense of community among the faculty and staff, as well as building upon Cathedral’s strong foundation of Catholic identity.

God Bless,
Michael Wright
