Notes from the Principal's Desk: November 13, 2018

This past weekend, our parish held its annual Homecoming weekend! By all accounts, it was a great time as members of the parish and school community, past and present, had some time to spend in fellowship to reestablish the bonds of friendship. Thank you to all of the parishioners, parents, parish staff, and school staff who volunteered their time to make Homecoming so successful.

Over the past several weeks, I have shared with the community the reasoning and philosophy behind holding student-led conferences. This week, the sign-up form is live! On the sign-up form, first select your child’s grade, look for their homeroom teacher, and then select a conference time.

Finally, I’d like to share a special announcement from Mrs. Harrington. Please read below.

Dear Parents,

We have reached my favorite time of year. It is a time when we are urged to reflect on what we are thankful for in our lives. I have a lot to be thankful for this year.  I am thankful for the trust you show every day when you leave your child in my care. It is a privilege to work with such wonderful families and I want you to know how thankful I am for your trust and encouragement.

It is with this in mind, that I am happy to share some exciting news for which I am most thankful this year. My husband, Steve, and I are expecting our first child! As I’m sure you can understand, these past 18 weeks have been filled with excitement, fear, overwhelming joy, and love. It is a new adventure for us, and I am thankful for the countless examples of great parenting that surround me each day.

We are expecting our baby in the beginning of April. The Administration will conduct a full-search process to identify an appropriate long-term substitute. Please feel free to contact them if you have any questions or concerns. We will continue to keep you updated during the process.

I hope that this season of year allows you time to reflect on what you are thankful for in your life. You and your families will certainly be in my thoughts as I give thanks this year. Thank you for all of your support and understanding.

Jennifer Harrington

We are excited for Mrs. Harrington and her growing family. We will be posting a long-term substitute job opening on the Archdiocesan website and the AIMS website to ensure that we have as much time as possible to find a long-term substitute who will be able to best meet the needs of the students and the school.

Have a great week and may God bless.
